"how she perverts the intellect
her ingenuity naked neath its skirt of wits
massaging all we think we need
and us lolling in consumptions
warm and easy scented bath"
'sour ode', she thought on opening the letter
and spat it out upon the stone floor all crumpled
while fowl like many vessels sail across the sea of farmyard straw
plump and ready
she eyes them with the voracity of the vixen
"they consume to be consumed" she knew
she looked at me and she saw little more than a poor lunch
a mere drawing of a chick
a few scribblings on a plane of paper or a few dim words
yet in no way a book of a man
but i have ingenuity
hidden are its subconscious cavern halls
dark
away from chickens, away from prying humanoid
fueled by bats and ancient pictograms
brazed in mud upon its walls
barbaric brooding essential
