Void
the waylands song raised upward to the sky
the heads of corn are abide its breezy sharps and flats
born into cloud riddled days and addled words
the sum of all humanity is here above the opened soil
its seed awaiting
the rain frozen in the mouth
the words impending of the skies
in the blue quarters of the world
the song of sunlight dances in the dust and distant haze
the metal of the earth its mirror
and yet to find a soul thats full of daylight
why decide to search beneath the mirror ?
impaled upon the thorn it sings its trills
and women gaze impassioned by its single chorus
across the face of culture the scars of distant impact anointed
it sings the hallowed breeze and its direction changing
the corn is bowed and hail its pulverising beat
hammers on the opened earth
its drum errant from its blind devotion
i question and think not
in that silence across the void
