gob

gallop garble
gab galoon
fast talking gaberlunzie
gob galoot
go
and tell galimatias
with froth full-fed
elenchus of the erudite
and i did as i was told
with glitter on my eyelids
and small stars upon my cheeks
i made pretence of spiders
when the conversation turned to pretty
or floss when it bore too salt
or purloined the frocks of culture
for debasing all the weaves of science
or plucked the atoms from its physics
in critique of art
and though i am a man
or in the parlance of appearance
i dress as one
yet i am all spangles
and no balls beneath
a eunuch for the virgin word
je suis le man
my mother is an authoress
dry and sour
the way that spoiled women are
when they realise too late
that men are of no significance
upon the dunghill of the world
no matter how they crow
and when the eggshell broke
she found within her children
all something different entirely
and of that something
plays she made
of which none as yet as famous
but i hope she makes a play of me
one in which i play nice games with girls
and which we gob upon the magazines of stars

galoon - frill
gaberlunzie - scum, idiot
galoot - fool
galimatias - without meaning
elenchus - confute, prove wrong
