rock breaker
she has a smile like reflected starlight
and at dawn you hear her rolling in
her relentless fists pounding the stones
rock breaker
she rarely tires
scaled silver fish in their palaces do their sun dance
as long drawn arms prehensile tips like pink bracken
curled in springs first verdant mulch
are curling slowly round the corralled trees
and transparent forms are undulating slowly in their tepid bath
her calm, the root of comfort
but when she rages how her tempest hair
unbraided by the wind is cascaded
her cold mists kissing
bold as declarative love
