stoops
there is a lake deep within a mans heart
and into that naked lake one must swim
by the failing sun whose scarlet crest
upon the waves spins its elusive love
and upon whose rippled mesh
the darkness of love declared
row its ethereal boat
and so love and i did meet on the edge of certainty
where the boundaries between the worlds of water
and of man beguile
and in their indiscretion mingle
and thin willow and bullrushe jostle in a throng
with rumour or jealous mutiny
