Know

i know your pure intensity
impressive as the mountains of the sun
in long drawn shifts of gold
laid down in haloes of electric eyes
somewhere near a virgin mid peacockery

i know your secret most thoughts
emblazoned across the dark scars of my heart
are its shot stars
their winnowy trail full flecked
with the broken shards of promise

i know my gracious feelings smashed by the meteoric
blusterings of your darker spaces
deep almost as to nothing but sacred, scared and violent
they hurtle by the salient registers of what passes for knowledge
i know their feel though intangible to most

i know your body like lightening firing upward through the clouds to space
i know the contours of the clouds that in these solipses
pass for beauty as the same might see it
and their shadows that only damp hysteria
might view inside a hail storm

i know your fortitude and see
its weighty back-stone crush your shoulders
as i see the burdens of futurity
dragging you down like mountains are washed grain by grain
into the shores and thence the sea

i know you will rise like king or queen Poseidon
in the memories of those who loved you
and who will know you beneath the dapped frenetic waves
that you are that great and mutable bedrock
that will rise again as say marble midst the new thrown mountains
some millions hence
