Sapience found humour in such a hominid
Sprung from the springboard of selection
Satisfied the tribunes of destiny
And procured as homo sapien
From the warehouse of the sum of possibilities
That is unique or so you tell me
No other consequence on any other in any other by any other
Will ever make in what we stand today
This clustered intellect the acronym of complex
This dexterous wit whose subtle movements
Can snare creations birds
The clever hands and tools the children of
The subtle eye
The roistered gangs of specialties
And deferral to the social beast
All this in acquisition
Accredit to necessity and jewkry
It is astounding but maybe part a way
You tell me the universe contiguous
A continuum you'd hardly call a breach
Defines the many shades of man
Part lit as here part hid as there
Accreted by the physics of the genesis
Natural but malleable perhaps
And that in our single cell beginnings
We had a sentience
Which we have bound as god
Whose telepathic kinesis kept our lives unbound
Whose powers wane as we have lost that inner core
To superseding supercilious intellect
