One

last night i crept inside your body
your lips became my lips warm and full
such a lovely feeling as i kissed my fingers
your arms my arms, i wrapped around us
and ran them long your silken legs
did you feel me thrill to be there with you
did you feel the simple gloss of ecstacy
and its tear welling in your eyes most heart
didnt you feel its power waves crashing
on your beach of dreams
didnt you long its
heady scented balms
didnt you dare its cold brooks and mountain ways
our soul as clear as winter icicles thawing smooth
and dripping till the dream evaporates
and dull reality takes the morning light
dont you feel theres some twingeing thing
like a distant knowledge that you carry of me
because we were always one
in other worlds in other paradises
and on their fragrant beaches and their luscious seas
and even in the crawling heavens
moving slowly round
so even when they are old
in there secret paths
we are still its centre
we are still as one
