Unexpected Journey

Some times a man needs to make
An unexpected journey
Do not mistake this to mean
He will not be coming home
And what may be perceived as
Contrary in the trivial world
Of entities and time and place
May be wholly unifying to
The inner being and the
Holistic of spirit and self
I know that you understand
The catharsis of the journey
Even if this was more a token
Than an actuality
As its benefits for you
And it saddens me slightly
To see you wearing the yoke
Of a woman scorned
And used and duped in love
And the trick marks of that infidelity
Because I can feel its weal’s
And scars
When I run my hand
So lightly over our relationship
I can feel its sorrow
I can see your angry soul threatening
Like growling whelps
Like mad bright daggers twizzling
Like monkeys spinning scrambling screeching
Through the humid silence of African jungle

So let us leave this lair of creatures and creepers
Cicadas and dark piercing eyes
Through the intensness of That vapid jungle
And venture out
To the vast concourse
Of our own imaginings
Where upright ape first strode the terraces
With the mature intensity
Of understanding and trust
Balanced upon the strong limbs of intellect
