berries

you told me
the biodynamic form
you called the earths primeval wisdom
whose spiritual beings, that congruous humanity
transmit the instinctive knowledge of a concept
clasped within its vibrant molecules
and so you said the axes of understanding are eaten
and then transfixed into the brain
each molecule a memory, each cell a world
formative forces of celestial intelligence
you say impregnate the seasons of our soul with their dark sorcery
a world where layers joined and unjoined flow in mass like lava
deep beneath our conscious mind or surface in the bright volcanic idiom of genius
a world where metamorphosed myth
that begat from just a fleeting thought to reality
became a creative mass of earthly substance
and nascent from its womb it emblazoned all the world
where megaliths may form thus at special places on earths face
it grew them from the dots of vision
small spores of labour unto giant pods

nearby a small berry cloaks a tiny man
and composite systems, shade like beings
wriggle as intestines in the ground
and digest the spirit forces
dislocated forces fall and rise
and with their clubs they refashion from crude stone and sinew
new follies here on earth
