core

Danger bright as fire brings great joy
When tonight I see the sisters leave you by the river
alone and white and keen with the smell of loves flower
Bathed in magic oil
and the sheets of the moon
so we shall meet among the scented wood
where two roads meet
mine east yours wester of the narrow straights
that separate our lives

We will form the laughter bridge
and circle like the halo
and the great ones will know
that we have made a gem ring
a clasp of smooth balmed hands
and our hearts are chanting chant
the language of great dazzlement
for passion brighter than the molten cores
and subtle as its issue
a locket of my love
as hot as wondrous together weeps
in issue from us both
and through its duology
it remains as steadfast
as the molten core when cooled
upon the mountain with its kind
envy of the many
