Divided structure

dividing 1 by 7 gives the repeating ratio 142857
the background is blocked by sub dividing the canvas into 1 + 4 + 2 + 8 + 5 + 7
the ( a total of 27 units so if the canvas is 40 cms long then lines are drawn
across it at 1x40/27 = 1.48cms, the next is at ( 1+ 4)x40 /27 = 7.4 cms
the next at (1 + 4 + 2)x40/27 = 10.34
the same can be done with the width resulting in 36 rectangles (assuming the width
and length are different) in this case ive used these to place the head
and define the background :
walls, doorway (or is it a window), floor and lighting
I have used the same ratio on a whole series of the pictures here to
show how a single concept can be used to structure an image in a great variety of ways
